We spent the afternoon on St Simons Island enjoying a nice walk on the beach and peering at the S. Korean wreck, Golden Ray, while it was getting sliced up like a giant salmon.
On the way home, we found a hidden gem in Brunswick, a booming small town in coastal GA. It’s a tiny, unpretentious eatery in a modified strip mall. Hwang Keum Jung – off the beaten path.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and recommended the Yuk Gae Jang, spicy soup o chopped beef with green, clear noodle and egg and Pork Gal Bee, grilled pork ribs with green onion.

The portions were generous and the food was amazing. So glad we found a super nice, clean and authentic Korean cuisine in up-and-coming coastal Georgia.

Mom definitely enjoyed it and been from DC, it was very comparable to the myriads of Korean restaurants in Annandale.
