After a busy afternoon surfing, I worked up an appetite for a big meal. And I was definitely in the mood for some dim sum. Since I was budget and time conscious, I defaulted to the Dim Sum Platter for $16.
Just as I sat down to order, a wedding anniversary party started walking in. About 60 people all having a fantastic time. Haven’t seen a party this big since pre-pandemic.
:Mot, Hai, Ba, YO” as each table raised their shot glass of rice wine to toast the happy couple.
First I wondered what they were chanting.
“One – two – three drink,” a party guest explained.
Before long, two to three different tables started a friendly competition to see who could be louder and more exuberant.
As I was enjoying the anniversary festivities, the dim sum platter was served. Nice assortment: 2 shrimp dumplings, 2 har gaws, 2 char siu baos. 2 potstickers and 2 spring rolls.
